In July 2012 I was offered a teaching job in Tanzania and I moved there at the end of August. This blog was begun to chronicle my adventures there and voice my general musings on things, but during my first 5 weeks in Tanzania my Dad got ill and I had to come back to England briefly. He died, shortly followed by his mother, in October 2012, so the blog has taken a different turn.
I went off on a 4 month round the world trip and now I live in Sheffield and decided to leave teaching because it made me mad. While signed off work I started crocheting, self taught with the help of some excellent websites. Since then I’ve dabbled in embroidery, felt flower making, lino prints, screen prints, felt making and now I have a loom.
I’ve been really quiet on here for the last five years or so and have been paying for a website for all this time, so may as well start updating it more regularly with things I’ve made.
I also have a husband who is a folk musician and stand up comedian so sometimes I’m on a podcast.
